We’ve hired PA Bootcamp-trained production assistants for the past 10+years. There’s a clear difference between working with PA’s who are “green” and those who’ve been under the thorough tutelage of PA Bootcamp: they have knowledgeable set etiquette, an elevated tier of professionalism, and they understand their role on the day, which is invaluable when you’re trying to stay on schedule. We highly recommend using PA’s who have gone through their unmatched program. Canyon Drive Productions

Day 1 of P.A. BOOTCAMP helped me realize that being a P.A. takes so much skill, and I began to doubt if I was capable of meeting that skill requirement. But it was all the knowledge of day one that really set me up for success during the 2nd day of P.A. BOOTCAMP. That is the most beneficial offering of Bootcamp: the knowledge. The training continues to open up paths to better, more exciting job experiences. For a couple hundred dollars and only two days of my time, it literally kickstarted my career in the industry. It has given me more knowledge and confidence in my abilities, more than I ever had before. If you’re thinking about signing up, just do it. If you’re already going, you made a good choice.

Before Bootcamp, I had no idea what I wanted to do in terms of a career or how I was going to achieve any of the goals I set for myself. P.A. BOOTCAMP gave me the experience I needed to confidently enter the industry. The instructors took their job seriously, giving the class a no nonsense attitude while also providing adequate support and guidance in navigating the tasks at hand. P.A. BOOTCAMP opened the door for me to excel at my job with the precise experience needed to act on a job appropriately and efficiently. To this day I make sure to recommend P.A. BOOTCAMP to others I meet along the way who wish to dive into the film industry, and will continue to do so. This training has opened many doors for me, and to them I am forever grateful.

P.A. BOOTCAMP was an incredible value for my money. I learned the ins and outs of how to become a Production Assistant that I wouldn’t have learned otherwise. Without the BOOTCAMP I wouldn’t have known where to start. Best decision I made since moving to Hollywood.

For the last two productions I have worked on, one with Netflix and now with AppleTV & Sony, I have hired my PAs from the PA Bootcamp Program. PAs that have completed the program come prepared to work, enthusiastic about whatever task they are given, and go above and beyond the requirements of their position. They adapt to whatever the requirements are for the department they are placed in. I hired them for the Art Dept, and most of their work is relegated to research, spanning a variety of time periods. All of the P.A.s handle these assignments with the same enthusiasm they have for any of their other duties. As a result, I have recommended P.A. Bootcamp to any prospective P.A.s attempting to enter the industry, and I have also recommended P.A. Bootcamp to my union, Local 871, as well as to other departments on any show I am on. I also recommended PA Bootcamp to Array for helping to train their PA Crew Members. It’s a wonderful program that I wish I’d known about years ago. I won’t hire any P.A.’s that haven’t gone through BOOTCAMP.

PABootcamp has brought numerous day playing opportunities within the LA area. The content we learned within those two days has saved me more times than I can count on set. Its just not a job you can “learn after getting hired.”

I had gone to film school, made connections, tried applying for anything and everything I could find, and yet I still wasn’t finding a job. Then a friend signed me up for PA BOOTCAMP and it changed everything. In two days I learned more about how to be and what to on set than I did in any of my classes for years at film school. They gave me a basis to walk on to a set and feel that I was not only going to do well but that I was going to succeed. Better than the training I got a job from PA BOOTCAMP. They gave my number to a Netflix production and things kind of fell in place after that. They got me my first two shows. It only took two shows to get into the department I dreamed of working in because PA BOOTCAMP prepared me for how to act and present myself on set. I will never be able to sum up just how grateful I am for the opportunities PA BOOTCAMP opened up for me.

BOOTCAMP is authentic. The people there are crew not teachers. They train what they know and make you the best you can be. I researched before signing up and now that I went there I can say the training is not a scam. It’s not unnecessary. I have been working ever since.

PA Bootcamp should be required training. These people aren’t your stuffy college professors who haven’t worked in 15 years, they’re active, working crew who know what they’re talking about and after Bootcamp, you can be too. I get the hesitation to train for what’s considered an entry-level position, but I found it to have vital information that will put your name on top of the “to hire” list. I know because I went to PA BOOTCAMP endured the 2 intensive days, and have been working ever since.

I attended PA Bootcamp without any prior knowledge of the industry, so I was starting from scratch. I planned to “fake it til I made it”, but in two intense days I learned a brand new career. Since my training, PA Bootcamp has kept me busy with consistent referrals. I’ve worked with major networks such as Netflix, Hulu, and HBO. On my own, it would have taken years to get the knowledge and experience to work for companies like those. PA Bootcamp’s goal is to teach you everything you need to know Saturday and Sunday and have you on set by Monday…and that’s exactly what they did for me.

P.A. BOOTCAMP says they are an intensive job training program, and that is EXACTLY what they are. This service delivers on its promise. They said they would give me everything I needed to know how to survive doing the job, they said they would get me ready for work immediately, and they did. I am so happy that I went. It has changed everything for me in my career path. If anyone is unsure as to whether or not they should go… they should JUST GO.

I moved to LA June 2021, and I had no idea how to begin working in film/television production. After researching Production Assistant opportunities, I came across P.A. Bootcamp, and I couldn’t be happier that I signed up for this! P.A. Bootcamp taught me all the ins and outs of being a PA. Within the first 2 weeks, post-camp, I got my first show. This was a great production to use my new knowledge firsthand. Because of P.A. Bootcamp, I was prepared !

I credit this job for starting the domino effect to all the others I have worked since moving out here. P.A. Bootcamp trains you how to be prepared for your first show and provides you with the resources to be successful in production. I have recommended P.A. Bootcamp to many friends, and I will continue to. To anyone interested in breaking their way into the industry: signing up for P.A. Bootcamp is how its done.

P.A. BOOTCAMP was the single best thing I did towards working as a P.A. I had worked day-play jobs as a PA, which was hard enough to find on their own. But at these day jobs I was clearly new and did not know what I was doing. After PA bootcamp, I learned so much about how to NOT appear to be so obviously new (“green”) and I made better impressions. I started getting called back for work. I started networking. If you follow the recommendations from this course, they do send your name out for work opportunities. They recommended me to jobs pretty quickly after I attended. Though in this business nothing is guaranteed, obviously, if you do what they say, you will be working on sets in no time.

It bothers me that some of the reviews on the internet claim P.A. BOOTCAMP is a scam: It is not. I am proof. I have kept in touch with some of the other bootcampers who attended with me and they are also getting work via PA Bootcamp. Someone in our group of trainees claimed it was a scam but they left early and did not complete the course. You have to complete the course and follow their instructions if you want them to send you out for work. Its no surprise the people who don’t complete the program or haven’t attended claim its a scam, they don’t know from the full experience. The instructors can be intense/mean/demanding. This is intentional. Working on sets can be a high stress environment and if you can’t take the heat you shouldn’t be in this industry.
